Hey There

Hi, I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm a fine artist and illustrator from The South West of England. I grew up scribbling down stories and drawing characters with and on whatever I could find. I moved around, never quite finding the right somewhere to settle down, it turns out because my mind was always in another place, filled with colour, madcap moments and pure fantasy. Nowadays, thanks to five growing children, I've managed to settle not too far from the sea and not too far from the forests, and that's just about perfect.

I have worked in fine art; displaying art in prestigious London galleries, in ethical fashion; designing and creating new and bespoke clothing from unloved textiles, and in writing; fictional work for both adults and children. My love for literary illustration eventually called me back and now I'm busy creating playful and colourful pieces that invite you to explore character, storytelling and whatever makes you feel the most you.

Inspired by the little things and big feelings, I aim to make pieces that make you smile and feel a sense of freedom, hope and individuality. It's a spontaneous world where you can look however you feel, be whoever you choose and be harmonious with everything else. Oh and yes, there's an enormous dollop of whimsy and you may catch the odd fairy riding a snail?​

When I'm not sketching, painting or creating you can find me lost in a book (or my own thoughts) or tearing madly about after my hoard of children; they may be my inspiration but they are also relentless and very, erm, individual.
